Chainfire

When a meteor destroys all life on Earth, a small group of human survivors leaves the barren planet to establish a new home on the Moon. As generations of cloned children pass, their children eye the giant planet in the sky. After a millennia, the descendants of the original refugees travel back to Earth and try to rebuild a civilization of which they were never a part.
